The basis on which we provide our services.
Last updated 28 July 2026. These terms govern the services provided by Ginkgo Events Limited (company number 10981478). Please read them alongside any specific proposal or agreement we send you, which takes precedence where it differs.
Our service
We provide venue finding and event management services. We use reasonable care and skill in providing those services and in sourcing suitable suppliers within your agreed budget and brief.
Bookings and authority
We cannot enter into contracts on your behalf, or otherwise bind you to any supplier, without your express written consent. You enter into your booking contracts directly with the relevant venue or supplier, on their terms.
Our fees
Unless we agree otherwise in writing, our venue finding service is free to you — we are paid a commission by the venue or supplier once a booking is confirmed, rather than charging you directly. Any chargeable event management work will be set out in a separate proposal.
Payment
Where fees are payable, invoices are due within the period stated on the invoice. Late payments may incur interest at 8% per annum above the Bank of England base rate.
Cancellation
You must give us not less than 28 days' written notice to cancel an event. Suppliers' and venues' own cancellation terms will also apply to any bookings you have made.
Liability
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for anything that cannot lawfully be limited. Subject to that, our liability in connection with our services is limited as set out in your agreement with us.
Disputes and governing law
If a dispute arises we'll first try to resolve it through good-faith negotiation, then through alternative dispute resolution, and, if necessary, arbitration. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales and subject to the jurisdiction of its courts.
